Sending hugs to you!

I have realized and said thank you prayers for Kris, Donnie and Kent. The 3 neighbor men that were here to help with Bill and now with only Kris still here, and across the street, fixes computers, toilets, mows when I can't and eases my son's mind when he's on the road. I will continue with the prayers and the occasional gift to show my true appreciation.

Love you Cathy! Even with old house (have lived through that) and Smelly Cat (I had crazy and destructive squirrel) you keep going. And somehow you do it with a reasonable amount of humor along with the frustration and crying. You are awesome!!

Cathy, thank you for the giggles. Our place was built in 1885, we thought it would be fun. Forty years later, we are still working on it. Love the country life, though! ~Paula

This nails the domino effect of home repairs so well. That "while-we're-at-it" mindset can turn one small problem into an overwhelming spiral real quick. Ive dealt with similiar situations and the hardest part is always deciding what actualy needs fixing now versus what can wait.

That is so true. In the last 2 weeks we needed the toilet fixed, the kitchen sink fixed and the sewer drain cleaned out to the street, along with having 5 trees pruned for safety. Home ownership is stressful!

I'm reminded of so many of life's 'situations' while reading your post. We always come through to the other side, but, Oh, my!, the journey to get there is only for the strong.

Cathy, you have a Pioneer Woman Warrior spirit! I have a modest condo, a Mexican lawn guy, and live in town. 6 miles from a 92 degree indoor pool. And some days, paperwork, responsibilities are overwhelming. How do you manage?! Know when to say 'when.'

You're roaring loud and strong! Henry Ford said "anyone who keeps learning stays young".
