It is spring ....
Short.
Sweet.
And right to the point.
It is spring. And I am exhausted.
Since last Sunday …
I taught a cooking class.
I helped plant Blossom Boxes.
I helped plant more Blossom Boxes.
I panicked ordered more plants for said Blossom Boxes.
The pink Barbie Dream House Porta Potty arrived. That signals the true sign of spring at Miss Eff's.
I made jam.
I made more jam.
I hosted my first Hipcamper of the season. She was a delightful woman from Michigan driving to South Dakota and beyond to find land to flower farm again.
This week … I might have given her mine.
I made granola and hosted the first FarmHer's Market of the season here on the farm.
It was so cold, I wore this …
Icelandic wool. Appropriate for January. Not May.
I went to Kolona Iowa to buy supplies for the above mentioned jam.
Connie and I had 12 hours of Blossom Box pick up … which consist of sitting in the sun and wind, trying to recognize 100+ people. All the while, checking on little flowers … that didn't want to leave their cozy abodes in Connie's snug greenhouses.
I was surprised by the return Smelly Cat in the basement.
I am not a fan.
A new plan is in place…
Hopefully, there will be news on that front at 11.
And Uplifted Energies were on the farm with a Sound Bath on Friday evening. There will be another sound bath on May 29th. It is such a calming experience.
Spring is hard.
And the lists are really long.
But I wouldn't have it any other way.
I will talk to you later.
